How will you help yourself navigate the end of the year?
Let's share tips and solutions for navigating our way through the end of the school year!
For me, it is always beneficial to leave my dorm room for a while and go to another place that I can study away from the grasps of Facebook on my laptop. I reccomend the new St. Charles public library. They have private, glassed-in study rooms that have a lot of space. Getting into the right mindset to study is always easier somewhere different.
I am a Professor of Education with an intense interest in supporting teachers. I have 11 years of experience as a classroom teacher and assistant principal in both elementary and middle schools and I was a teacher trainer for two years before finding my true calling in higher education 10 years ago. In addition to teaching, I love to write textbook supplements like teacher resource guides, test banks and student study guides. Most of my publications are with Pearson Publishing in the areas of Educational Psychology and Introduction to Teaching although I have written Educational Research supplements and provided website material for various Pearson products.
I am married and have two wonderful young daughters who make the need for great teachers crystal clear! So here's to hoping you will teach my kids someday!
(I also participate in pet rescue and fostering so my house is pretty crazy sometimes!)
